[At some point after everyone's gotten back from Australia, there'll be a knock on Nekane's door during what would usually be office hours.]

If you're in there, I just have a few questions.

[Nekane is indeed in their office. They've been cooped up in their office dealing with everything the Herald brought along with him and other matters - their actual work tended to increase when these things happen.

For a moment they're tempted to not answer but decide against it. The lock on the door clicks twice, first as they unlock it physically and then magically, before they stick their head outside.]

[The door unlocks and Keith looks... well slightly hesitant, if only because he doesn't tend to bother approaching faculty for anything.]

After everything that's happened in Australia with the Herald, I had a few questions. Since you're the professor of urban legends and do detective work as well, I figured you'd be a good person to ask.

[A beat.]

How many other "disasters" were actually intentionally caused by humans to cover up the existence of magical society? Do you know?

Hell of a question.

[They do not sound annoyed at being asked, however. Keith is not off the mark with his question. There has been a lot of things covered up for the sake of keeping the veil intact.

One of those cases was...personal. Nekane is sure not going to talk about that. But everything else they can talk about.]

Yeah. I know some shit. It goes back years and years. [Nekane's far older then they may appear.] Can't give you an exact number, which should probably tell you enough.

[The answer boils down to 'a lot'.]

Got a few examples I could give you. But not here.

[They're not going to suggest their own apartment. It was bad enough Daybreak had to know where they lived. Or they're just that paranoid.]

Bar's a good place or somewhere outside.

[They are not going to elaborate on what it is they have to do later. It's just work but if it is detective work or just stuff as a teacher is up in the air.

The bar is loud for this time of day but it works out. Not many people will overhear their talk. Although most people's gazes on Nekane just seem to get...distracted. Somehow.

Sensory illusions were incredibly useful.

It is simple enough to grab an out of the way table and Nekane orders a drink before turning to Keith.]
